Terms of Service

The service

FERN Atlas and Atlas Docs AI are research and AI-answering services operated by Fern Ventures LLC. Atlas Docs AI is an independent product that searches ServiceNow documentation and web sources; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ServiceNow. Review these Terms and our Privacy Policy before accepting them. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to act on its behalf. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. You must be at least 13 and meet any higher local minimum age. If you are not legally able to agree yourself, a parent or guardian must authorize your use and accept these Terms.

Your account and content

Keep your sign-in credentials secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for prompts, uploads, and other content you submit, and you must have the rights needed to submit it. You retain your rights in your content and grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit it as needed to provide the service, maintain security, and comply with law, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit passwords, API keys, or material you are not authorized to share with the service and its providers. Atlas Docs AI does not accept file uploads.

Responsible use

Do not use the service to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, evade safeguards, abuse third-party systems, or generate material that facilitates harm. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or create security risk.

AI answers and sources

AI-generated answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading, including quotations, citations, and generated code. Check original sources, dates, and applicability before acting on an answer. Output is for general information, not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and does not create a professional-client relationship. Do not rely on it for emergencies or as the sole basis for decisions affecting health, safety, legal rights, finances, or production systems. Review and test technical instructions in a safe environment before using them.

Sources and linked services belong to their respective owners. A citation is not an endorsement or a guarantee of accuracy. Output may be similar to output provided to others; we do not promise exclusivity, copyright protection, or freedom from third-party rights. Check permissions before publishing or redistributing it.

Subscriptions

Price, billing interval, included features, renewal, and any trial conditions are shown at checkout. A recurring subscription renews until canceled under the terms you accepted at purchase. These Terms alone do not authorize a charge. Purchases made in the iOS app are managed by Apple and can be restored through the app. Cancel Apple subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting your Atlas account or the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals under the purchase terms; refund eligibility follows the applicable store rules and mandatory law. For Apple refund requests, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For other purchases, use the cancellation method shown at checkout or contact help@fernatlas.com. Nothing here limits statutory refund or withdrawal rights.

Service rights and availability

We and our licensors retain rights in the service software, design, and branding. Subject to these Terms, you may use the service for its intended purpose. Third-party content and open-source software remain subject to their applicable licenses. Features, source coverage, and availability may change; no uninterrupted access or particular result is promised. Any changes to paid access remain subject to your purchase terms and applicable law.

Warranty disclaimer

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” FERN VENTURES LLC DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR SECURE. THIS DOES NOT EXCLUDE EXPRESS COMMITMENTS WE MAKE IN YOUR PURCHASE TERMS OR GUARANTEES THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW US TO EXCLUDE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FERN VENTURES LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE, INCLUDING THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED APP STORE, IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Where a limitation is prohibited, it applies only to the extent allowed.

Changes and your rights

Updated Terms carry a new effective date. We will provide notice of material changes and require acceptance of the current Terms and Privacy Policy before starting new research. Account deletion, billing, and support remain available without accepting updated documents. Changes do not retroactively alter an accrued claim. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the service and cancel any subscription through the applicable billing provider. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from making truthful reviews, reporting concerns to regulators, or exercising non-waivable consumer rights.

Termination and contact

You may delete your account in Settings → Account & Legal. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations or legal/security reasons. Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@fernatlas.com .
